Being the only lodge west of Highway 69 and accessible only by water, it affords a rare getaway from it all atmosphere.

Come and Relax!

The focal point of all in camp activities is "The Lodge" where the lounge and dining room is open to everyone. Come and relax around the fire, your cabin or gather on the decks where you will experience the peace and quiet of the Canadian Northwoods with its magnificent sunrises and sunsets. Experience the Northern Lights and maze of stars first hand, T.V., VCR videos, darts, horseshoes, games, library, souvenirs, snacks and beverage are available. Our famous camp shore lunch awaits all.


Camp Wanikewin Lodge is located on the Pickerel River in Ontario, in close proximity to the Georgian Bay, French River and French River Delta areas in Northern Ontario.

Our Lund boats are the latest models and in excellent condition. Each boat is equipped with a new current year 15 HP or 20 HP Mercury motors, all with Deluxe Swivel Back Rests.  We supply lifevests, paddles, landing net, anchor and minnow bucket. Additional boats are located in surrounding lakes for your fishing pleasure. Fishing and hunting licenses, minnows and worms with fishing lures and equipment are available at our bait shop.

There is excellent fishing from the middle of May through October, Fish for Pickerel (walleye), Northern Pike, Musky, both Large and Smallmouth Bass, Channel Cat, Black Crappies, Sturgeon and a variety of pan fish. Seldom can the fisherman find all major fresh water fish in the same body of water. A screened in fish cleaning house with running water, lights, wrapping paper and freezer facilities is provided.
